Musician Ayatake Ezaki’s second album, "Whispers of Silence." Centered on stillness and nostalgia, this 19-track collection is "music for one," woven as if to descend into the artist's inner self. It was created during a three-day residency in a concert hall located in the woods of Hokuto, Yamanashi, where an upright piano, a grand piano, and antique instruments—including a dulcitone over 100 years old, an organ, and a toy piano—were gathered. The recording captures the three-dimensional resonance of the entire space, blending the sound of the keys with synthesizer tones, birdsong, the rustling of the wind, and the flickering of an oil heater. Through the recording and mixing by Yu Sasaki and mastering by Gen Tanabe, the sound image achieves a contemporary openness while retaining the warmth and tactile feel of analog.
