Following her 3rd album "Nagasugita Haru" in 2021, which featured Seiichi Yamamoto,

Asuka Kuroiwa releases her 4th album "Kaibutsu" after a 3-year hiatus.
This is her first release on analog vinyl and digital.

Asuka Kuroiwa is a singer-songwriter based in Osaka since 2017, consistently performing live, including a joint event with Keiji Haino at Shibuya WWW in 2022.
This work features four band members: Keizo Suhara (Ba), senoo rickey (Dr), hama (Gt), and HEAT (Gt). The album comprises 7 songs, weaving a single narrative from dusk to early morning when the sky begins to lighten, including "Yoru no Umi," an acoustic guitar song.
Her whispered vocals, contrasting with the psychedelic guitar-driven band sound, resonate with the listener's heart like a single light in the darkness, making this a soulful and deeply immersive work.

A curse unconsciously cast transforms into a giant monster without one knowing.
Sometimes it can turn into a very scary monster,
but I believe you can also cast a good spell yourself and turn into a very gentle monster.
How one perceives it is up to each individual; I want to become a gentle monster. That's why I made the album "Kaibutsu."

＜Profile＞

Born in Osaka on February 10, 1996. Started playing classical guitar in 2015.
Released her 1st album "Ban'an" in 2017. In 2019, she simultaneously released two 2nd albums: "Reimei" under the band name "Kuroiwa Asuka to Yoru" and "Hikari to Kage" under her own name, Asuka Kuroiwa. In 2021, she released her 3rd album "Nagasugita Haru," featuring Seiichi Yamamoto. In 2023, she released "Yoru ga Kuru," an album compiling a live performance at Shibuya WWW as "Kuroiwa Asuka to Yoru."
