Musician Ayatake Ezaki's second album, "Whispers of Silence," is a collection of 19 songs "for one person," woven together with quietude and nostalgia at its core, as if delving into the artist's inner world. Upright and grand pianos, a 100-year-old dulcitone, an organ, a mini piano, and other antique instruments were assembled in a hall in the forest of Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture, and the album was created over a three-day residency. Along with the resonance of the keys, the recording captured the three-dimensional soundscape of the entire space, including the synthesizer's tone echoing in the hall, the chirping of birds, the rustling of the wind, and the flickering of a kerosene stove. With recording and mixing by Yu Sasaki and mastering by Gen Tanabe, the sound image has an analog warmth and texture while quietly opening up to a contemporary feel.
Additionally, a repress of the sold-out first album, "Hajimari no Yoru," has been confirmed. It will be released in a limited quantity on Wednesday, July 15th, along with this album.

Musician. Born in Fukuoka City in 1992. Has composed music for theatrical live-action films such as "5 Centimeters Per Second," the film "#Shinsou wo Oshabishimasu," TV Asahi drama "Ogon no Toki ~ Hattori Kintaro Monogatari ~," and TV Tokyo drama "Sinanthrope." In addition to his activities as a member of the band WONK, he participates in recordings and live support for artists such as King Gnu, Vaundy, Kenshi Yonezu, and Fujii Kaze.
He is the host of NHK FM "Ayatake Ezaki's Borderless Music Dig!!" and writes a serialized column "Onmon" for the Nishinippon Shimbun. On February 25, 2026, he will release his second album, "Whispers of Silence."
