First new album in 13 years, "dad bb," CD/DIGITAL release
(CD pre-sale at UNIT on 8/1; nationwide release on 8/10)

Thirteen years after his 2013 USB album "MONACO," Hajime Tachibana releases "dad bb," his 10th solo album, on CD and digital formats. The CD comes in a special 7-inch single jacket size with an included booklet.
During a 1981 tour of the U.S. with The B-52's and Plastics, Tachibana received lessons in irregular tuning from Ricky Wilson. This work is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that only Hajime Tachibana could create today, focusing on the guitar sound he inherited from Ricky.
The album also includes "Sleeper" by Kani Takagi and a 2026 version of his own signature song, "Modern Things." Mastering is handled by the renowned Soichiro Nakamura (Peace Music), known for his work with Yura Yura Teikoku.
It is rock 'n' roll meets noise and sound art. Lou Reed → Tom Verlaine → Ricky Wilson, and now Hajime Tachibana. The tradition of the NYC electric guitar is resurrected in Tokyo, 2026.

First relief 12-inch single in 40 years, "ZOUNDS!" - Limited Edition release
(Pre-sale at UNIT on 8/1; nationwide release on 8/10)

In 1986, Hajime Tachibana released "Beauty and Modern Things," a 12-inch single featuring a relief of Osamu Tezuka’s manga characters carved into the vinyl itself.
Though it gained attention, Tachibana noted that "everyone assumed others would copy it, but almost nobody did." Now, this technology has been revived with a laser-etched relief record—the first in 40 years.
The content includes a remix of the new song "Jibun no koto dake kangaeyo" by Cornelius (Keigo Oyamada) and a remix of "Flow," one of Tachibana's theme songs, by Yann Tomita.
Both are incredible tracks that showcase the personality and talent of these artists. Mastering is by Soichiro Nakamura (Peace Music).
This 12-inch is a highly rare, limited-edition pressing, so be sure not to miss out!
