To celebrate the 10th anniversary of her debut album Shibata Satoko Shima, Satoko Shibata's sixth album, Bochi Bochi Ginga, has been released as a limited LP edition with a gatefold jacket.

Satoko Shibata Profile
Singer-songwriter / poet.
Born in Sapporo, Hokkaido in 1986, Shibata graduated from Musashino Art University and later completed her master's degree at Tokyo University of the Arts.
Her music career began in 2010, inspired by a remark from a university professor. In 2012, she made her album debut with Shibata Satoko Shima, produced by Hiroki Misawa, featuring a multi-track recording approach.
Shibata has expanded her artistic reach beyond music, including performances at theater festivals like Festival/Tokyo 13, where she presented Tanomoshii Musume, a one-hour monologue performance. She has since released five original albums.
In 2016, she published her first poetry collection, Sabāku, winning the 5th Elsur Foundation Newcomer Award (Contemporary Poetry Category). She has contributed poems to literary magazines and newspapers and has written essays for Bungakukai.
Beyond her own works, Shibata has composed songs for NHK E-Tele’s Okaasan to Issho, adieu (Moka Kamishiraishi), and RYUTist. She has also appeared in films (Hottamaru Biyori) and TV dramas (Think About the Violence of Not Forgiving). Her artistic expression is highly diverse, extending to directing and editing her own music videos.
In 2022, she released Bochi Bochi Ginga and embarked on a nationwide tour.
