[Description]
After releasing three albums from 2007 to 2010 and concluding their activities, the Naruyoshi Kikuchi Dub Sextet, featuring Naoko Kikuchi on saxophone and various trumpets, alongside the rhythm section led by Masayasu Kuboguchi (piano), Masato Suzuki (bass), and Tama Honda (drums), with dub engineer Pardon Kimura (effects & electronics), presents 'THE REVOLUTION WILL NOT BE COMPUTERIZED' in long-awaited LP format!
Combining jazz and dub in a crossover that shook the scene, the album is now available on vinyl. Drawing inspiration from the 1960s Miles Davis Quintet as a matrix, quoting the jazz of Ornette Coleman and Eric Dolphy, this work finely sharpens jazz into something abstract, funky, and stylish. It continues to resonate through time and space as an “eternally new sound”. For the LP release, Pardon Kimura handled the re-editing.
▼Comments for the LP release:
It's been a while since we cut vinyl. When we thought, “Which album is most suitable for vinyl?” The work makes me think “There's no other choice but this one.”
Please ride this record onto the turntables around the world.
