The highly anticipated LP release of ermhoi's latest work Junebug Rhapsody is confirmed! This new album reinterprets the impactful debut album Junior Refugee from 2015 with ermhoi's current sensibilities. In response to the resounding feedback after its digital release, the decision to release it on LP has been made.

Originally making a stunning debut with Junior Refugee in 2015, ermhoi now presents a reinterpretation of the same album with her current artistic sensibilities, creating a completely new work. In response to the significant impact after its digital release, the decision was made to release it in LP format.
 (Please note that there are no plans for a CD  or cassettee release.)

Since her debut, ermhoi has swiftly built a solid career for herself. From guest vocals at Tokyo Shio-Koji, where even Steve Reich praised her talent, to recent collaborations with Daiki Tsuneta of Millennium Parade, WONK, Eiko Ishibashi, Shun Ishiwaka, Jim O’Rourke, Phew, Ibeyi, and many other artists both in Japan and internationally, this album marks her first full-length release in two years since Dream Land in 2021.

Reinterpreting the long out-of-production debut album Junior Refugee after eight years of growth and success, this work not only showcases ermhoi's artistic depth but also brings forth a refined sound that transcends the boundaries of pop and jazz. In describing her creative process, ermhoi likened it to a painter layering strokes on a canvas over the years. For musicians who continually age, accumulate experiences, and inevitably confront their past hits, this work may signify a new approach that embraces conflicts and revisions.
The album artwork, unlike the digital release, features a special LP design paying homage to Junior Refugee.

Jua's rapid-fire rap in French, English, and Japanese is captivating with its rhythmic and rhyming interplay of intellect and emotion. Thanks to Jua's creativity, these bonus tracks have reached an unmatched level of completion.

ermhoi Profile:
With roots in both Japan and Ireland, ermhoi is a genre-fluid track maker and singer who traverses musical boundaries with ease. She released her 1st Album Junior Refugee in 2015 under Salvaged Tapes. Her activities span not only providing music for movies and TV commercials and remixing but also offering support as a vocalist, synth player, and chorus member.
In addition to collaborations with contemporaries such as Shun Ishiwaka (Answer to Remember, CRCK/LCKS, SMTK), Daiki Tsuneta (King Gnu), and Fumitake Igarashi (WONK), ermhoi has also shared the stage with musicians with unique worldviews such as Eiko Ishibashi, Jim O’Rourke, Phew, and Ibeyi.

Moreover, in 2018, she formed black boboi with Utena Kobayashi and julia shortreed, performing at the Red Marquee stage of "FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL '19". Since 2019, she has also been part of Millennium Parade led by Daiki Tsuneta.
The new album Junebug Rhapsody follows her solo work released in December 2021, DREAMLAND. The "golden" talent that she possesses sets its sights not only on Japan but the world.
