About Kubota Makoto and Sunset Gang:

Formed in 1972 with Makoto Kubota at its center, the band released solo albums such as Machibouke (1973) before their de facto debut album as a band, Sunset Gang (1974). They created masterpieces like Hawaii Chanpuru (1975), which was one of the first to incorporate Okinawan and Hawaiian music.

In 1980, they changed their name to Sunsets and achieved a worldwide debut. Kubota Makoto and Sunset Gang were the most significant band of Japanese rock in the 70s, creating their unique earthy sound by absorbing influences from blues, and folk, to New Orleans' Second Line Beat.

Enjoy the essence of  Makoto Kubota and Sunset Gang's live performances with this LP!
