[Description]
A dream collaboration with ten artists to celebrate her 60th anniversary in the arts!
This latest album, titled ”Jyūban Shūbu” brings together artists and musicians with whom she has strong connections to celebrate her remarkable achievements as an active singer even at over 80 years old.
Since declaring a hiatus from singing last year, this album marks her first recording, featuring her first collaboration with Kazufumi Miyazawa, Sadao China who is an old friend and disciple, as well as debut collaborations with the Neneez and Yutaka Asato. Moreover, notable artists such as Seibun Tokuhara and Moritake Maekawa empowered her this time.
Additionally, the album is sure to become a collection that encapsulates Misaoko Ōshiro's 60-year career, including a remix of the debut song "Unrequited Love" by the popular DJ unit "CHURASHIMA NAVIGATOR" from Okinawa.
As a bonus, the original recording of "Unrequited Love" of 1962 recording is also included!

Commentary
[by Kazufumi Miyazawa]
Ten years ago, I first met her, during a singing gathering she hosted in Tokyo, and until then, I had been one of the fans. I remember eagerly looking forward to the opportunity to greet her on that day. It is the fulfillment of a long-cherished dream for me to perform together with Misako-san the song "Deigo no Hana". I could play live at Mr. Sadao's concert. It's memorable. When I first started studying Okinawan folk songs, one of the most beautiful duet songs that I particularly immersed myself in was the one sung by Rinsho Kadekaru and Misako Oshiro. My most beloved Okinawan folk song, "Shira-Kotsu-Bushi", from it sung by her I learned vocalization, mimicking her. Misako Oshiro is synonymous with post-war Okinawan folk music history. The reasons why Okinawan folk songs exist, why those songs were actual, they may be—she, as a remarkable and invaluable singer, has kept singing and telling the stories behind each of these songs. I am relishing having my name included in a small corner of Misako Ōshiro's timeline.
[by Nenez]
Every time we meet, I get nervous around this great senior. She is like a figure in the clouds for us. There is a song by Nenez about Misako-sensei, and before meeting her, I imagined her to be "intimidating" from that image. However, in reality, she is friendly, kind, and mischievous. Her lovely demeanor so moved me that I couldn't help but hang on to every word and action of hers. Always graceful, whether holding a Sanshin or smoking a cigarette, everything about her is picturesque. As a singer and as a woman, I admire the way she gracefully ages. Our favorite song that Misako-sensei sings, which we all unanimously agree on, is "Shimo-Chidori." It's just too cool, it sends shivers down your spine. The opportunity to collaborate with her on this album is still unbelievably prestigious and heartwarming. I am truly happy to be able to create a piece of work that will breathe with Misako-sensei. It is our pride.
