Profile:

Born in Tokyo in 1964, he made his debut in 1999 with Locals (P-VINE) from Yan Tomita's TSUNAMI SOUND CONSTRUCTION. In 2001, he released his second album, OCEAN SURFER COOL DAD BUILDING SHOPSURFBOARDS (MUSIC MINE), as well as Frozen Hawaii (bonjour), a collaboration with Tico Tsuyoshi of Little Tempo, and Ticpa Stylee (Lastrum), a joint work with DJ QUIETSTORM titled "PARDON TROUBLE" (MUSIC MINE). In 2004, he released his third album, SILLY WAKE (trieight), recorded in Personal Surround Technology (PST). He has collaborated with various artists such as KILLER BONG on KILLER PARDONG (trieight).

In addition to his solo work, he has contributed to projects by HONZI, HAKASE-Sun, Spank Happy, Shunji Kishida, Maki Nomiya, Hiroyuki Nakano, Naohiro Ukawa, Tayutau, Ichiko Aoba, UA, and Otomo Yoshihide.

 

His collaboration with visual artist Zach Lieberman, titled "Drawn", was featured as an outstanding work at the 10th Japan Media Arts Festival. He has also worked as a producer and recording engineer for artists such as Keison, Sumiko Yoseyama, Hideaki Konno, Mike Maki meets Ren Takada, Kazz, Peace-K, Nao Kodama, and Rakita.

 

In the realm of film, he has contributed to the sound effects of works such as Pandora's Box and The Sound of Atom's Footsteps, directed by Masataka Tomioka. He is a member of Shoji Kikuuchi's DUB SEPTET and is known for his real-time effects engineering and synthesizer playing.
