Profile:
Hailing from Hokkaido and currently residing in Hayama, this artist's journey has taken him across the globe. Spending their 20s in the United States, France, and West Africa, He immersed himself in diverse cultures and musical experiences. In the Republic of Niger, West Africa, they served as a guitar instructor for the Overseas Youth Cooperation Corps while also forming a reggae band with fellow dreadlock enthusiasts. Their activities included appearances on local radio and TV, as well as embarking on West African tours.
Upon returning to Japan, they co-founded the psychedelic trance rock band "Miracle Sal" and became a regular performer at the Taiwan rock festival "Spring Scream", even conducting tours in the UK in 2001. Presently, they primarily focus on solo endeavors, captivating audiences with original compositions featuring acoustic guitar, kalimba (African thumb piano), and djembe (West African drum). Their performances often incorporate visual elements, such as joint live shows with renowned surf photographer Denjiro Sato's slideshows, earning acclaim for their immersive sensory experiences. Additionally, they conduct African percussion workshops in elementary schools, kindergartens, and children's clubs.
In 2006, they released their debut album Glassy "Nagi", followed by the 2008 release of their second album, Yumegokochi (Tuff Beats), showcasing their multifaceted musical journey and cultural influences.
